Egg Fried Rice
Egg Fried Rice is a simple and comforting dish made with fluffy rice, scrambled eggs, and light seasoning. Quick, satisfying, and perfect as a meal or side.
Ingredients
Rice
4 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
Eggs
4 eggs, lightly beaten
Vegetables (optional)
- ½ cup green peas
- ½ cup carrots, finely diced
- 2 green onions, chopped
Seasoning
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt & white pepper to taste
Instructions
Scramble eggs
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in wok or pan.
- Add eggs and scramble lightly.
- Remove and set aside.
Fry rice
- Add remaining oil to pan.
- Add rice, breaking up clumps.
- Stir-fry 3–4 minutes.
Add vegetables
- Add peas and carrots.
- Stir-fry 2 minutes.
Combine
- Return eggs to pan.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Toss well over high heat.
Serve
Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Small Notes :
- Day old rice prevents mushiness.
- High heat gives best texture.
- Add garlic or ginger for extra flavor.
- Customize with chicken, shrimp, or vegetables.
